An SMP treatment is permanent and never goes away completely. The pigment will be affected by radiation and will fade a little over the years.

After 3-5 years, it can be good to refresh the appearance with a Touch-Up, which is done in just one treatment. However, that figure is only a guide. Some clients go several years between treatments. This allows you to choose an approximate duration and a specific look.

No. The only similarity is that color is applied to your skin, SMP is a completely different technique practiced by trained professionals using completely different pigments and different techniques with modern equipment.

SMP is a type of special treatment you use section by section to establish perfect results of your normal hair.

We do not use the same ink and needles, which means that there are no shadows or discoloration of the pigments. We specialize in finding the right pigment for you to create a natural look.

Although some people may refer to micropigmentation as a hair tattoo, it is actually quite different. First, and perhaps most important, is the skill of the practitioner.

Our practitioners can skillfully replicate a 3D look of natural hair. Needles that prevent the spread of ink.

Additionally, the needles used for this technique are disposable needles that are three-quarters the size of any tattoo needle available.

Immediately after the first session, you will receive results from SMP. However, there will be some redness that lasts for about 1-2 days depending on your skin type.

The original color of the pigment will look darker than the “cured” result, but don’t worry, after just 1-2 weeks it will disappear and give a more natural look

Pain tolerance differs from client to client but most can tolerate it without the need for topical anesthesia. In general, customers report that the sensation is very tolerable and not as bad as they expected.

Treatments take approximately 3-4 hours for the first session, then approximately 2-3 hours for the second session.

Some clients may request or require a third session to complete their treatment, and session time is approximately 1 – 2.5 hours, depending on the amount of work that needs to be done.

We use a specially formulated ink that is suitable for Scalp Micropigmentation – it is not tattoo ink. As a result, there is no risk of the color turning blue or green.

What treatment options do I have when I lose my hair?

Male pattern baldness is a complex condition with few viable treatment options. Here is a survey of the most common treatments on the market today.

The most common option today for hair loss

STRIP Excision

Surgeons remove about 10-15 cm thin strip of skin from the back of the head. They then dismantle the strip and use each unit of working hair individually to fill in the areas of the head affected by hair loss.

Some men are concerned about the distinct, lateral scar this procedure leaves and the potential for the transplant to look unnatural.

Follicle Unit Extraction (FUE)

FUE is more time consuming, costs about 50% more and has a lower success rate than STRIP.

The main advantage is that it does not leave a scar and does not require a large, viable donor site like a strip harvest, making it potentially a more viable option for men with more advanced hair loss.

Finasteride (Propecia)

Finasteride works by blocking the enzyme 5-alpha reductase, which converts testosterone into DHT – the hormone responsible for your receding hairline.

Only about 20% of men see improvement during six months of treatment, and your hair will return to its pre-treatment state if you stop taking the medication.

There are also concerns about rare but serious and sometimes permanent sexual side effects after taking Finasteride, including loss of sex drive and erectile dysfunction.

Minoxidil (Rogaine)

Minoxidil is a topical treatment for male pattern hair loss. The medical community does not know exactly how Rogaine works. Some experts speculate that blood vessels in the scalp stimulate hair growth and function.

Your hair loss will return to pre-treatment if you stop taking the medication. It is less effective in treating large areas and is recommended for younger men who have experienced hair loss for five years or less.

Both medications are more effective at slowing hair loss, as opposed to regrowing hair.

Hair transplant Solutions

Hair transplantation is the most common option today to get back one’s hair loss. To be able to get back the hair that you have lost, you also need to have hair to remove. You need living hair follicles that are alert and strong. There are many successful results when it comes to hair transplantation and quite a few failed ones. The chances of getting hair growth back are greatest when you start from the Nordwood Scale

Norwood Grade 1

Very mild degree of hair loss. Most often it is noticed that the density at the front parts is thinning or that it creeps up the temple. Hair transplantation is not usually recommended because it is at the beginning of the stage of hair loss and in most cases it is recommended to wait a little. An excellent choice to use PRP treatments to slow hair loss.

Norwood Grade 2-3

Now you start to notice that the hair loss is more obvious and it can start a disturbing moment. One begins to consider hair transplantation to recreate one’s former appearance. Here it would be said that there is the greatest chance of getting good results from a hair transplant. PRP is also recommended here.

Norwood Grade 4-5

When you have reached this degree of hair loss, it is a high risk to get into hair transplantation. If you are on NW4, the chances are greater, but after 5, there is minimal chance of getting the hair back as you wish, but you can still get results. The problem with this is that the density of the hair that you get back will never be the same as before. Almost impossible to f

Norwood Grade 6-7

get the density back at this stage, especially in the crown. Considering PRP at this stage is pointless. Once you have gotten some results back from a hair transplant and feel that the density is not quite there, you usually supplement with Scalp Micropigmentation. Micropigmenting the scalp gives you a fuller look where the “baldness” is less visible

Grade 6 and 7 is a severe degree of hair loss where most of it has disappeared and you only have hair on the sides. At this stage, hair transplantation or PRP will not help. At this stage, it is only recommended to do Micropigmentation.
